Jo & Jen’s Cape Cod Wedding (ever see a double rainbow at a wedding?)
Jo & Jen’s Wedding at The Red Inn, Provincetown MA, June 23,2012. (16 pix here, Facebook album) One of the most unforgettable weddings ever. The beautiful sun-drenched, beachfront deck was the Cape Cod venue for the ceremony that included a family friend as officiant flanked by bridesmaids and ushers. One of the readings was : the entire lyrics to “You Make Me Feel Like A natural Woman” (Aretha Franklin). So perfect. One guest broadcast the ceremony to her sister in the military overseas by smartphone. The Red Inn hospitality was everything you want in a beachfront destination wedding. Then, during the group picture…the blue sky to the east was threatened by black clouds from the west, a storm-chaser’s, “wizard of oz” type of sky. Then it poured – sideways. All gathered inside with high spirits as the storm quickly disappeared, then an incredible double rainbow appeared over the bay. Full color from pot o’ gold to pot o’ gold. The families embraced Jo & Jen on the beach and partied all night in P-Town.
